Rebrand and web design for a luxury residential real estate developer.
DeArmond Homebuilders is a leading luxury residential real estate construction and development firm, specializing in high-end properties throughout central Kentucky. With over 20 years of experience, the company is one of the most highly regarded in the region, with a reputation for superior craftsmanship and exemplary service.
In 2018, I was hired to design a new brand identity and website for the firm.
Classical elegance, bold modernity.
One of the defining moments for any homeowner is the moment you receive the key to your new home. Not only does this key open the door to your new home, but it also unlocks the door to your future– the memories you’ll make and cherish in your new space. I chose this symbol as the inspiration for the new brand identity.
The handle of the key is comprised of four interlocking 'D' shapes, a subtle nod to the DeArmond name. The logotype consists of two contrasting typefaces, the classic serif Minion and the sans serif Gotham. Accented with monospace typographical elements, these typefaces convey an air of both classical elegance and bold modernity. The identity is accompanied by a vivid color palette that includes deep blue, red-orange and cream.
In addition to the new brand identity, I also designed and developed the firm’s new website. Developed using the Wordpress CMS, the new design includes modular floor plan views, dynamic portfolio galleries featuring beautiful photography showcasing previous build projects, and an interactive map feature that displays which properties are currently available.
